PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

April 3, 2006

7:00 p.m.

 

The Mayor and Planning Commission members met in regular session in the Eagleville City Hall, City of Eagleville, Rutherford County, Tennessee,  April 3, 2006, 7:00 p.m.  The following members were present:

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Don McCord.   

CITIZEN’S INPUT

None.  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

            Chairman McCord asked for a motion to approve the minutes for the regular and called meetings in for the Planning Commission.  Mayor Barham made the motion and Vice-Chairman Nick Duke seconded.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote.

Chris Hendrix, 1126 N. Main Street

Chairman Don McCord told the Planning Commission that Mr. Chris Hendrix wished for

his property to be zoned commercial.  Mayor Barham moved that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council that Mr. Hendrix’s property be zoned commercial.  Councilman Harold Vincion asked that Mr. Hendrix submit a request in writing to the Planning Commission wishing to have his property zoned commercial.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote. 

Daniel Coffey

Mayor Barham stated to Chairman Don McCord that Mr. Coffey had requested to be annexed into The City Limits.  Mr. Coffey provided a map and a description of his property.  Mayor Barham stated that Scott Ferrell was going to provide a written statement regarding the request from the County’s perspective.  When received, a meeting will be called to discuss this annexation. 

Annexation of State and Federal Highways

            The Planning Commission and Mr. Logan discussed annexation of roads outside of city limits.  The annexation would be Hwy 41-A North from the City Limits to the Williamson County line; and Hwy 41-A South City Limits to Bedford County; Hwy 269, Allisona Road, from the City Limits to Hwy 31-A; Hwy 99 East from the City Limits to Mt. Vernon Road; and Hwy 99 West from 41-A (at Sandy’s Market) to the Marshall County line.  All highways are federal or state roads.  Only the highways and highway rights-of-way would be annexed.  Mr. Logan will provide new maps and descriptions at the next meeting.

Bobby Turner

            Mr. Turner presented the Planning Commission with a final plat of a survey of his property on Clark Street dividing it into two lots.  Councilman Harold Vincion made the motion to approve Mr. Turner’s site plan, seconded by Vice-Chairman Nick Duke.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote, with Mr. Turner abstaining. 

Plat Submittal

            Bo Logan suggested that the Planning Commission consider having plats received a few days before any Planning Commission Meeting to give him time to review.  After discussion it was agreed that anyone wishing to submit a plat to the Planning Commission, must bring it to City Hall no later than three days before Planning Commission consideration.

            None.  

Next Meeting

            All members of the Planning Commission agreed that the next regular scheduled meeting would be Monday, May 1, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall.   

ADJOURNMENT

            With no further business to discuss, Councilman Harold Vincion moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Vice-Chairman Nick Duke.  The meeting was dismissed by unanimous vote at 8:20 p.m.
