PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING 7:00 p.m. The Mayor and Planning Commission members met in regular session in the Eagleville City Hall, City of Eagleville, Rutherford County, Tennessee, Monday, October 9, 2006, 7:00 p.m. The following members were present: Mr. Don McCord, Chairman Dr. Nolan S. Barham, Sr., Mayor Nick Duke, Vice Chairman Harold Vincion, Secretary/Councilman Bobby Turner, Member Mr. Bo Logan, City Planner GUESTSCouncilman M.A. Smitty CALL TO ORDERThe meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Don McCord. CITIZEN’S INPUT None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman McCord asked for a motion to approve the minutes for the Planning Commission. Mayor Barham made the motion and Vice-Chairman Nick Duke seconded. The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote. business Items New City Limits Mayor Barham had a question regarding the city limits entrance signs being moved following annexation approval of highways. Mr. Bo Logan stated that other cities did move their signs, but thought it would be a local decision to do so. M.A. Smitty – Rezoning Mr. Smitty came before the Planning Commission requesting a rezoning change from R2 to R3 at his residence at 281 Hwy 99, Eagleville, TN. There is a sign in his yard advertising the rezoning and all requirements have been met. There was a brief discussion regarding this matter. It was pointed out that there would be no outside structural change and that because of the existing home and the shape of the lot, all other requirements were satisfied. Mayor Barham stated that the Planning Commission just needed to validate that everything is correct and bring the motion from the Planning Commission to the City Council for approval. Any Other Business None. State and federal highway annexation Ordinance # 06-02 Annexation of Highways, passed the City Council on the first reading at the September meeting. There will be a public hearing at the October Council meeting. New sub-division regulations Mr. Bo Logan started the review of the new sub-division regulations beginning with 4-102.502. The remainder of time was spent with corrections and discussions regarding certain aspects of the regulations. Mr. Bo Logan will continue with Section 4-103.3 – Right-of-Way Width Dedication on Existing Public Ways. FEMA Flood plan – Bo Logan Mayor Barham reported that City Council had the first reading at the September Council meeting and there will be a public hearing at the October Council meeting. Next Meeting All members of the Planning Commission agreed that the next regular scheduled meeting would be Monday, November 6, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall. ADJOURNMENTWith no further business to discuss, Secretary Harold Vincion moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Mayor Barham. The meeting was dismissed by unanimous vote at 8:34 p.m.
