PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

June 4, 2007

6:30 p.m.

 

The Mayor and Planning Commission members met in regular session in the Eagleville City Hall, City of Eagleville, Rutherford County, Tennessee, Tuesday,  June 4, 2007, 6:30 p.m.  The following members were present: 

Don McCord, Chairman                                   Dr. Nolan S. Barham, Sr., Mayor        

Nick Duke, Vice-Chairman                              Harold Vincion, Councilman/Secretary             

Mr. Bo Logan, City Planner

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Don McCord.   

CITIZEN’S INPUT

When Chairman McCord asked for comments from any citizen present, Charlie King asked to be heard.  He requested a new business license for an auto repair shop on Clark Street.  When asked about the recycling of the oil from oil changes, he responded that a business in Shelbyville, Eagle Meadows, gives him a barrel for oil disposal and picks it up for recycling purposes.   Mr King was asked to see Michelle for proper business license.   

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

            Chairman Don McCord asked for a motion to approve the minutes for April, 2007 meeting.  Councilman Harold Vincion made the motion and Vice-Chairman Nick Duke seconded.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote.

Ø      Mayor Barham reported on the following items:

-         A copy of the publication of the Holt property rezoning request was in the Planning Commission Member’s packets. 

-         Michelle and the Mayor are working on the procedure for the Coffey Annexation with Rutherford County. 

-         Ed Wettig has repaired the Eagleville Entrance sign on Hwy 41-A South and has been restored.

-         Mr. Wood was told by Michelle that no buildings could be built on the drain lines on the Eagle Roost Smokehouse & Grill. 

-         A proposal given by the Thurman Carey Group to the Council was included in the Planning Commission Member’s packet.  

-         Mayor Barham noted that Councilman Harold Vincion’s and Member Bobby Turner’s term would expire on July 30, 2007.  With the agreement of both committee members Mayor Barham will present their names at the next Council meeting for a three-year term.  He reminded the Planning Commission that the City Council would vote on Councilman Vincion’s three-year term, but that by law the Mayor appoints other members.   

Sub-Division regulations

            Planning director Bo Logan stated that the corrected copies of the new Sub-Division Regulations were accidentally left in his office.  He asked for Chairman McCord to meet with him and verify the changes made.  Copies will be brought to City Hall for the Planning Commission Members to read and examine before the next Planning Commission meeting.     

Next Meeting

            All members of the Planning Commission agreed that the next regular scheduled meeting would be Monday, August 6, 2007 at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall.    

ADJOURNMENT

With no further business chairman Don McCord asked for motion to adjourn.  Mayor Barham moved and Vice-Chairman Nick Duke seconded.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:17 p.m. by a unanimous vote.
