PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

August 15, 2005

7:00 p.m.  

The Mayor and Planning Commission members met in regular session in the Eagleville City Hall , City of Eagleville , Rutherford County, Tennessee, August 15, 2005, (For September) , 7:00 p.m.  The following members were present:

Mr. Don McCord, Chairman                            Mr. Harold Vincion, Secretary

Mr. Nick Duke, Vice-Chairman                        Mr. Robert Turner, Member

Mr. Bryan Collins , City Planner             Dr. Nolan S. Barham, Sr., Mayor

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Don McCord.   

CITIZEN’S INPUT

  None.  

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

            Chairman McCord asked for a motion to approve the minutes for August as mailed.  Mayor Barham made the motion to approve the minutes upon adding the statement:

Mayor Barham mentioned that in our new Zoning Ordinance that any item not covered by the Town of Eagleville Codes , could be subject to review by the Eagleville Planning Commission. 

Vice-Chairman Nick Duke seconded.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote.

            Mayor Barham stated to the Planning Commission that he had a meeting today with Tonya Blades, Don Steele and Lowes & Associates regarding the master plan for the pedestrian and bike paths.  Tonya wants to include Bryan on some conversations regarding the zoning study.  She also stressed the critical importance of completing the new zoning laws and subdivision regulations.  The Mayor stated to them that the Planning Commission was going to try to get the ordinance proposed to the City Council in about three months.    

Zoning Ordinance Amendment

            Mr. Bryan Collins continued the review with the Planning Commission starting with

Article VII., Section 7.030, letter B: Site Plan Requirements ...  (ON FILE AT THE

Eagleville City Hall ).  The Planning Commission will resume on Monday, September 26, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. with Article VII., Section 7.070: Procedure for Authorizing. 

Next Meeting

            All members of the Planning Commission agreed that the next regular scheduled meeting for October would be Monday, September 26, 2005.   

ADJOURNMENT

            With no further business to discuss, Robert Turner moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Harold Vincion.  The meeting was dismissed by unanimous vote at 8:30 p.m.
