PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING

September 26, 2005

The Mayor and Planning Commission members met in called session in the Eagleville City Hall , City of Eagleville , Rutherford County, Tennessee, September 26, 2005 (For October) , 7:00 p.m.  The following members were present:

The meeting was Called to Order by Vice-Chairman Nick Duke.

Eagleville Baptist Church Sign

            Councilman David Rigsby informed the Planning Commission that Eagleville Baptist Church would like to put up a 6 x 4 sign on the South end of town around the Eagleville City Limit sign.  After much discussion the Planning Commission agreed to the new sign and asked Councilman Rigsby to obtain a sign permit from City Hall and bring a sketch in of the sign.   

CUD Pump Station Request – Larry McElroy

            Mr. McElroy, CUD, informed the Planning Commission that they were in the process of putting in new water lines and in order to provide service to the higher elevation customers, they would need to build a new pump station.  This would be located on the Tru-Line property.  CUD is already in agreement with the owner of the site, and everything is in the process of being drawn up.  The pump station bid is $374,800.00.  Mr. McElroy passed out a copy of the site plan to all members of the Planning Commission.  After much discussion the Planning Commission asked Mr. McElroy to bring in a site plan showing buildings, fence, and meeting setback requirements at the next meeting.  He was in agreement of this. 

  Review Park Concession Stands, Scoreboard and Storage Area

            Vice-Mayor Ronnie Hill presented the Planning Commission with a plat for a concession stand for the new city park.  After discussion and questions, Mayor Barham moved that the Planning Commission accept the site plan for adoption and obtain a permit.  Member Bobby Turner seconded the motion.  The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” vote.  

ADJOURNMENT

            With no further business to discuss, Mayor Barham moved the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Vice-Chairman Nick Duke.  The meeting was dismissed by unanimous vote at 8:3.0 p.m.
