MINUTES OF A CALLED SESSION

OF THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EAGLEVILLE , TENNESSEE  

June 12, 2006 

The City Council of the Town of Eagleville, Rutherford County, Tennessee, met at a called session at 8:20 p.m. on  June 12, 2006, in Eagleville City Hall with Mayor Nolan S. Barham, Sr., presiding.

CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was Called to Order by Mayor Nolan Barham. 

NEW BUSINESS

First Reading of the 2006-2007 Budget & Tax Rate Ordinance

            Mayor Barham presented the Council with the 2006-2007 Budget & Tax Rate Ordinance.  Councilman Terry Zumbro made the motion to approve the first reading of the 2006-2007 Budget & Tax Rate Ordinance with a tax increase from $.7956, the certified tax rate, to $.8700.  Vice-Mayor Ronnie Hill seconded the motion.  The Council reviewed and discussed it.  A roll call vote was administered by Michelle Bennett and the motion passed 3-1, with Councilman Smitty voting no.

ADJOURNMENT

With no further business to discuss, Councilman Smitty made the motion to adjourn and Vice-Mayor Ronnie Hill seconded.  By unanimous vote, the meeting was adjourned at 8:21 p.m.
