PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
May 4, 2009
6.30 PM
The Mayor and they Planning Commission members met in a regular session
in the Eagleville City Hall, City of Eagleville, Rutherford County, Tennessee, Monday, May 4, 2009.
CALL TO ORDER
The
following members were present:

Chairman Nick Duke invited any guest to speak on any issue. No citizens spoke.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Darrin Rowell moved and Mayor Sam Tune seconded to approve the minutes of the February 2009 meeting and was unanimously approved.
INTRODUCTION ON NEW CITY PLANNER
Chairman Nick Duke introduced new City Planner Amy Miller. Ms. Miller stated she was replacing Scott Prowse, who accepted
another position in Washington DC, and asked if the Planning Commission had any questions regarding training or anything else.
Zoning Administrator Linda Lichentenberger spoke and stated there was some training classes coming up and after discussion,
it was decided the training would be applicable.
INTRODUCTION OF NEW PLANNING COMMISSION
MEMBER
Chairman Nick Duke introduced new Planning Commission member. Mr. Rowell gave a brief history of himself.
Chairman Nick Duke stated that in a meeting coming up, they would need to replace Secretary Harold Vincion who resigned.
ZONING REPORT
Zoning Administrator Linda Lichtenberger spoke and stated that after speaking with Amy earlier in the day, there seemed to
be gaps in the codes which would need to be looked at and addressed. Ms. Lichtenberger also stated
she was looking forward to working with the Planning Commission.
OTHER BUSINESS
Chairman Nick Duke
stated a replacement would need to be made to the Planning Commission from the Council.
Mayor Sam Tune stated that he would like to see the Planning
Commission and the City Council to work closer together. Mayor Tune also stated there is a potential for growth in Eagleville
and talked about new businesses planning on locating in Eagleville and has been to several meting regarding the sewer.
Mayor Tune also stated that the Planning Commission and City Council will need to come up with a 5-10-20 year plan, and get
input from the residents to prepare for the growth. Mayor Tune also stated he had several meetings in the past week
regarding the sewer and the council is in the process of trying to reinstate the Police Department, and stated the City Council
will be glad to work with the Planning Commission.
ADJOURMENT
Chairman Nick Duke stated the next Planning Commission meeting will be held on Monday June 1 2009, and moved to adjourn with
Mayor Sam Tune seconding the motion and the meeting adjourned at 6:53 pm.
