1‑101. Time and place of regular meetings. The
city council shall hold
regular monthly meetings at 7:00 P.M. on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the
town hall.
1‑102. Order of business. At each
meeting of the
city council, the
following regular order of business shall be observed unless dispensed with by a
majority vote of the members present:
(1)
Call to order by the mayor.
(2)
Determination of quorum.
(3) Corrections and additions of the
previous meetings not having prior approval.
(4)
Communications from the mayor.
(5)
Reports from committees, members of the city council, and other officers.
(6)
Old business.
(7)
New business.
(8)
Grievances from citizens.
(9)
Adjournment.
Discussion from the audience concerning any item on the agenda shall be
permitted prior to a vote or action being taken by the city council upon the
approval of a majority of the councilmen present.
1‑103. General rules of order. The rules of order and parliamentary
procedure contained in
Robert's Rules of
Order, Newly Revised, shall govern the transaction of business by and before
the
city council at its
meetings in all cases to which they are applicable and in which they are not
inconsistent with provisions of the charter or this code.
1‑104.
Dates of elections.
Pursuant to the Tennessee Code Annotated, § 6‑3‑104,
the date of the Town of Eagleville election is hereby set on the first Tuesday
in April in each even calendar year.
1‑105.
Salary of city council.
There shall be no salary for the members of the Town of Eagleville city

1‑301. To be
bonded. The
recorder shall, before entering upon his duties, execute a fidelity bond in the
sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) with a surety company
authorized to do business in the State of Tennessee as surety.
The cost of this bond shall be paid by the Town of Eagleville.
1‑302. To perform general
administrative duties.
The recorder shall perform all administrative duties for the city council
and for the town which are not expressly assigned by the charter, this code, or
to another corporate officer by the city council.
1‑303. To charge for copies of records, etc. The
recorder shall provide, when requested by any person, copies or certified copies
of records, papers, and documents in his office, and charge therefor, for use of
the town, a fee of twenty-five cents (25¢) for each page whose dimensions do
not exceed 8 1/2 inches wide and 11 inches long, and a fee of thirty cents per
page, for each copy which exceeds these dimensions.

To be empowered to issue warrants, etc.
The recorder shall be empowered to issue warrants, orders of commitment,
fix bond, and set trial dates for violations of any offenses coming within the
purview of the provisions of this code.
